PART TIME:

Marketing and Group Sales Interns

Global Spectrum is currently hiring Marketing and Group Sales Interns at Chaifetz Arena. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Marketing research that will require making phone calls, faxing, emailing, searching the internet, and conducting meetings with various individuals within the market
• Assist in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotions
• Assisting with grassroots marketing, including distribution of flyers, hanging posters, and creating relationships with various retailers to promote events *This will include hours worked outside of 9-5, M-F*
• Brainstorming and executing public relations event ideas
• Drafting and circulating press releases and media advisories
• Creating and delivering media drops
• Gathering press clips
• Updating media contact lists
• Assisting with group ticket sales efforts
• Assisting with sponsorship sales and fulfillment of advertising contracts
• Coordinating marketing table at public relations, promotional, and venue events
• Various event day responsibilities
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Junior or Senior (willing to consider Freshman and Sophomores with experience)
• Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, Management, or Hospitality Major
• 10-40 hours per week during normal business hours with flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
• A winning, do-what-it-takes attitude and a desire to learn
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
